Sewing a charm pack quilt pattern can be as easy or as hard as you want to make it. The easiest method is to just sew your fabric squares together in rows and then sew the rows together. This sewing pattern is slightly more complex and produces a more interesting looking quilt.
This charm pack quilt pattern is perfect for sewing beginners, and the step-by-step video tutorial is detailed and clear. Each stage is shown in full on the video, although some parts have been speeded up, so if you don’t understand what you are told to do you can watch and see.
The quilt is made by sewing together the charm fabric into rows of three, and then by the simple use of straight cuts and re-joining the fabric you get the random quilt layout.
Handy Hint: Getting the fabric squares in the correct order and sequence can be a little tricky – but this is where the pause button on the video comes in very useful. Just make sure you are laying out the fabric the same as shown on the video and it will all work out well. And if you do sew a piece or two in the wrong place, who would know?
