Easy jumper dress pattern using jelly roll fabric!
Jelly roll fabric tends to be used to sew quilts, bags or other practical things for the home. This tutorial guides you through how to sew a child’s dress using jelly roll fabric and a contrasting fabric for the hem and yoke. This sewing project is suitable for any beginner and includes an easy-to-follow written tutorial, lots of step-by-step photographs and a downloadable pattern for the dress yoke.
Although this jumper dress pattern is for a child there is no reason why you can’t scale it up and create a dungarees type dress for yourself that will be perfect for fun summer evenings out or for sitting by the pool. Sew longer sections of jelly roll together to the length of the required skirt (measured from the waistline to hem), sew on a wasit-band (elasticized is simplest) and add on straps that go over the shoulder. Wear with a simple short-sleeved top and you have your very own fashionable outfit!
